Starting to Gain Weight

It looks like Morten hit the low weight and is on his way back up.  Yesterday he was 4 lbs-4 oz, and today he came in at 4 lbs-4.8 oz, so 2 days of steady gain!  He still has a way to go before he gets back to his 4 lbs-10 oz birth weight, but we're in the right direction now!  There are car seat restrictions when he is this small - Graco, the most popular car seat, and the seat we actually have, only fits 5 lb babies, so if he isn't that big by the time he's ready to go, we'll have to make a quick run to the store and buy a new car seat rated for 4 lb babies and above.

He's still eating 49 ml of milk at feeding time, and that is boosted with some calories and stuff.

I've been working on some knitting projects while pumping and hanging out at the hospital.  I made a pair of "longies" - like sweater pants. They are super cute - I got the pattern from a seller on Etsy.

They have a monster face on the bum - Mommy's Little Monster.
 

 
Then I am also working on Christmas presents for Morten & Jim - matching beanie hats.  Morten's was a quick project, but Jim's will take me a little bit longer...

I copied the Carter preemie onsies and started making a some long sleeve onsies.  I can make them up pretty quickly - maybe like an hour.  I know he won't fit in them very long, but I'm just using fabric I already bought for the diaper stash, and it's such quick work that I don't mind if they don't last long.

My mom & dad are on their way here for a little visit and to meet Morten.  They should be able to see him at his dinner feeding.
