Kayaking in Lake Cochituate

My friend, Diane, and her family are renting a house on Lake Cochituate (pronounced co-sit'-chew-it), and she has been telling me I should come over to go kayaking for a month or so.  Finally this week, we had the perfect chance after Morty came home from the Respite Center.  Unfortunately, Diane and her daughter had to go into Boston, but she showed me the kayaks and set us all up.

It was really a beautiful fall day - it was relatively warm, the sky was clear, and the colors were just a little bit past peak.  Morty and I had a nice little time rowing the kayak around.  Because we were in a bit of a hurry, he didn't actually have his shoes on, so his feet got wet... and I think he got a little irritated by that.  But we sang "Row, Row, Row Your Boat" and even got to see some of the local rowing teams practicing.  Sometimes he would get into the motion of the rowing and even grab the oar along with me.

As we were leaving, I decided to put Morty on the trampoline in the front yard.  I would say he was so-so about the kayaking, but he L-O-V-E-D the trampoline!  We jumped and jumped and jumped on it.
