Apple Picking

Believe it or not, but apple picking season actually starts toward the end of August.  This year we went at the start of the apple picking season with Stef and Clem.  It was kind of nice to go so early because the farm was not crowded at all, and we got to pick some apples that we weren't familiar with.  Usually we go out sometime in October and get Macintosh and Macouns, but the apples we got were totally different - I can't even remember what their names were...

We had fun and got a lot of great pictures!

Ah yes, this one looks like Morty and Dad are sharing an apple!  Don't get excited - no bites for Morty, but he did enjoy putting his mouth on it.

Cute family shot

Morty loves going to Tougas Farm with his friend, Clem.

Jim can't get enough apples!

Morty cracking up at something.  Love the belly laughs from this kid.

Everyone decided to take pictures with apples on their heads.  Morty tried concentrating REALLY hard at keeping his on his head.

Daddy juggles

Everyone wants to climb the ladder...

Look at how he's holding his own head up!  even if just for the moment of the shot - it's all on his own.

And here's a few great ones that Stef took and sent:
Afterwards, Morty and I made some yummy apple butter from a bunch of the apples.  We planned to can it, but we didn't get jars and stuff in time, so we've just been eating it and putting it in Morty's blends.
