Morten's Chime

At the suggestion of my Early Intervention lady (who is a crazy freaky lunatic and a story for another day), I got a few "musical toys" for Morten.  We got him some wrist rattles and a couple of chimes.

Here's his wrist rattles - a cow and a pig.  They velcro around his wrists with crinkly straps and have a little bitty rattle in them.

I've been using the chimes with him during tummy time to try and get his attention to lift and turn his head.  Then I have one attached to the side of his crib.  Today when I put him in his crib for a nap, I noticed that he was ringing the chime.  Now, it may just be that he's hitting the chime randomly with his hand, but it seemed to me that it was just a little bit more diliberate than that!  Here's a little video.  What do you think?  Is he playing the chimes for us or just whacking his arms around?

  1. I am going to say half and half. He clearly is upset and just wiggling because you are mean and won't pick him up (totally kidding!) but he knows something happens when he hits it. He is soooo adorable and growing all the time!
