Christmas Fun with Cousins

Morty had a great Christmas - we visited Grandma & Grandpa Lund in Michigan.  All his other cousins on the Lund side were there too, so he got lots of play time!  We were really happy that they came up and played with Morty - and everybody wanted a turn in his stander and his chair.  I think there were a total of 24 people there for dinners!

We brought lobsters with us so that we could have our now traditional Lobster Bake.  This year Uncle Sean was available to make everything super delicious.  Fresh lobster drenched in butter - so yummy!

We helped Aunt Ashley make Oreo Balls and had the traditional Danish Christmas Eve dinner.  Then we got together and opened gifts.  I think one of Morty's favorite gifts was the Whoopi Cushion from his cousin Miles - "again, again!"

Morty also had a lot of fun playing with his new bubble machine from Santa.  And all the cousins loved it too!

Here's a video of Morty playing with his Monster Mitts with his cousin Koston:

And here's another video of playing Toddler Foosball with Anya:

The day after Christmas we went to the Ford Museum near Detroit.  We had the choice of seeing a plant tour or the museum.  I thought it would be a shame for Jim to not see the museum, and I've actually been to a Ford manufacturing plant through work, so we stayed and checked out the museum.  Unfortunately, the car exhibit was being refurbished, but there were a lot of cool things to see like planes, trains (real & model), furniture, machines, the Rosa Parks bus, the presidential limos, and a weird donut shaped aluminum concept house from post WWII.

We also went over to the community center one evening to go swimming.  Morty had a great time.  He had so much fun splashing around in the pool - squeeling and smiling and laughing!

We had a great time!  Unfortunately, right before we left, Morty had a gigantic puke fest.  And so he was hungry and thristy without anything in his belly, but his throat hurt so bad from puking, he didn't want to eat or drink anything!  So even though we left grandma & grandpa's at 9 pm, Morty hardly slept at all during the whole ride back to Massachusetts - 15 hours.  By the time we got home, he was clearly coming down with a virus, and he and I managed to fall asleep the rest of the day in my bed. and pretty much slept that day and the whole night!
