The Lake and a Red Sox Game

Last week Morty was on break with the daycare, so Jim & I also took vacation time.  Jim worked a lot on the garage, and Morty & I did a bunch of exciting things like fingerpainting (the best $5 I've spent in a long time), park visits to try out swings, and Dug Pond for a little swimming.

On Thursday night, we went up to New Hampshire to visit Grandma and Grandpa Gove.  Friday we got to go out on the Lake on Grandpa Gove's boat and swim at the club beach.  Here are some pictures from that:

Then on Saturday we went to the Red Sox game in the afternoon.  It was a perfect day for a baseball game - warm and sunny!  We got the tickets through church - they have a Mormon night every year, which is a good way for us to get our "one-game-a-year" tickets.  This year we got to take Morty with us!

We took his Red Sox cap (that Grandma Lund got him while they were visiting) and his cool shades (just like Daddy's) to help protect him from the sun.  Good thing he hasn't figured out how to get those off yet!

I think it's funny that you can see all of us in this picture - Jim kissing Morty's cheek, and my reflection in he sunglasses:

Here's our family photo with "Wally", the mascot for the Red Sox.  The only way I could get Morty to look up at the camera and smile was by munching and kissing his cheek!
